Successfully represented numerous importers and distributor of paper and paper board challenging the anti-dumping duties imposed by the National Tariff Commission, before the Anti-Dumping Appellate Tribunal and the High Courts of Sindh and Islamabad.

Successfully representing Mr. Khair Muhammad before the Honourable High Court of Sindh in a matter concerning his ownership rights over 3 acres of land. Mr. Khair Muhammad had been illegally deprived of his possession and ownership of the land on the basis of a forged conveyance deed. We have successfully obtained a restraining order against the Defendants, whereby the Defendants have been restrained from raising construction and creating third party interest in the property in question. 

Representing M/S Hyundai Nishat Motors, a private limited company, before the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi, challenging the vires of certain provisions of the Advertisement By-Laws 2003 (amended 2006) enacted by the City Government Karachi/ KMC, pursuant to which payment of shop board tax is sought by the District Municipal Corporation (South) Karachi; interim relief has been granted in favor of the client.

Successfully representing Mr. Ali Jawaid before the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi against the illegal attempts of encroachment on his land by private persons, and unlawful interference on his land by the Anti-Encroachment Department. Interim relief has been granted in favor of our client. 

Representing M/S Hafiz Brothers Ltd, a money exchange firm incorporated under the laws of the United Kingdom, before the Honourable High Court of Sindh, challenging the continued unlawful retention of its funds by M/S Khanani & Kalia, a money exchange firm incorporated in Pakistan.

Representing various textile mills operating in Pakistan , before the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi,  challenging the amendments to Section 65B of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, dealing with the tax credits on investments in plant and machinery, vide the Finance Act, 2019; interim relief has been granted in favor of the clients.

Successfully represented Taj Munawar & others before the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi, challenging the unlawful block/ suspension of land entries in their favor in Form VII, by the board of revenue. The Honourable High Court was pleased to allow the Petition. The judgment has been approved for reporting.

Successfully represented M/S APL Logistics Pakistan and M/S Ravian Interantional Agencies Pakistan before the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi, in challenging the levy of FED and SST on the services provided by Freight Forwarding Agents. The Honourable High Court was pleased to allow the petitions in terms of directing FBR and SRB from demanding FED and SST from the petitioners.

Successfully represented an office bearer of a housing society in 2nd post arrest bail application, the client was arrested by the NAB authorities pursuant to a NAB reference against the office bearers of the housing society in view of an alleged embezzlement of the funds of the housing society; bail granted.

Successfully represented M/S Shipco Transport Pakistan (Pvt) Limited before the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi, in challenging the levy of Super Tax vide the Finance Act, 2022.

Successfully representing M/S Bolan Engineering before the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi, concerning the tender floated by DHA Marina Club for construction of Jetty and related works; interim order has been granted in favor of our client, the Defendants are restrained from awarding work contract to any third person.

Successfully representing Mr. Yousaf Khan before the District Court of Sindh in a benami dispute. Stay Application has been allowed in favor of our client.

Successfully represented M/S Bazz Mobile Technologies (Pvt) Limited before the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi, in challenging the levy of taxes on mobile handset.

Successfully representing M/S Logix Project Management before the High Court of Sindh at Karachi, challenging the unlawful call-up notice issued by the Anti-Corruption Establishment Sindh. The concerned department was restrained from taking any coercive action against our client.

Successfully represented M/S Mansoor Engineering Services, challenging four Tenders/NITs floated by the Karachi Development Authority for construction of ten pedestrian bridges across Karachi; the procurement process in all four tenders was declared as mis-procurement and the procuring agency was directed to freshly initiate the procurement process.

Successfully represented a paper merchant/ member of the All Pakistan Paper Merchant Association challenging 36 bogus/sham voters included in the voters list issued in line with the elections of the association, regulated by the Directorate General of Trade Organization; all 36 voters were held to be ineligible to vote.

Successfully defended the All-Pakistan Customs Agents Association in a petition filed against it before the Honourable Sindh High Court, whereby nominations sent by association for the FPCCI elections were challenged; the petition was dismissed as not maintainable.

Successfully defendant an importer in a suit filed against him by a shipping line seeking detention charges for the container detained by the Export Processing Zone Authority allegedly on account of the fact that the imported goods are banned goods; the suit was dismissed.

Successfully represented members of the executive committee of the Pakistan International Freight Forwarders Association, challenging the decision of the election commission to allow retired members of the executive committee to cast vote in the office bearer elections; the retried members were restrained from casting vote.

Successfully represented Air Cargo Agents Association of Pakistan before the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi, challenging the decision of the Regulator Trade Organizations pertaining to the functionality of the association; the order passed by the Regulator Trade Organizations was suspended.  

Successfully represented multiple importers before the pertinent customs department and the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi, challenging the incorrect assessment valuation applied by the customs on the imported goods.  

Successfully representing a contractor M/S Insaf and Brothers, before the Honourable High Court of Sindh, challenging the unlawful and mala-fide attempt by the procuring agency seeking encashment of the bank guarantee submitted by M/S Insaf and Brothers as performance security for the execution of civil works awarded in its favor; interim order granted in favor of our client, procuring agency and the bank restrained from encashing the bank guarantee.  

Successfully representing Mr. Muhammad Tahir before the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi, in seeking cancellation of an unlawful/ illegal trade mark registration against his mark Tahir Masala; interim order granted in favor of our client, the unlawful/illegal trade mark registration has been suspended.

Successfully represented Mr. Muhammad Tahir before the Copyright Board, Karachi, in seeking cancellation of unlawful/ illegal copyright registration against his mark – Tahir Masala. The Copyright Board was pleased to suspend and remove the illegal copyright registration.

Successfully representing multiple allottees of M/S Cantt View Lodges in challenging the unlawful cancellation of their allotments, and the unlawful 50% increase in the cost of units by the builder; Stay Application has been allowed in favor of our clients, the builder is restrained from cancelling the allotments and is restrained from seeking the increased amount from our clients.
